Please do not make posts that only serve to create drama. We have the FAQ for a reason, if your question is answered in the FAQ it will be removed, and your name will be added to the wall of shame.ģ: No drama/callouts or cheater accusations (In other addition titles are suppose to be to-the-point, for example “Generic 5x4 silicon smelter design” and “reactor blowing up 5 revenants” are good titles, but “Discord Server?” and “lolololz” are not.)Ģ: Read the FAQ before asking any questions. Likewise, the post’s content must be Mindustry content. This is a subreddit for the game Mindustry. The Liquid Tank will explode because of the drop point annihilation zone and will cripple if not eliminate the boss.1: All posts must be related to Mindustry If you still cannot defeat the Reign and the three Specters, place a Liquid Tank full of Oil in the middle of the drop point after you finish off the Quasars on Wave 16. If either ammo is hard to produce on-site, make sure they are being launched into your core and assign some Flares to deliver the ammo for you. High-damage combos such as Surge Alloy with water or Blast Swarmer with Cryofluid Tsunami should be enough to kill the Reign along with the rest of the wave. Its bullets pierce through Plastanium Walls and require lots of Segments to nullify. The Reign must be neutralised as quickly as possible before it breaches. Use this time to prepare some supporting Antumbra. The sixth wave consists of many Spiroct, but your defences from the Scepter should be more than enough for them. The Reign spawns on this wave of the third cycle, after 17 waves from starting the sector (On the display it will show as Wave 18 once the wave starts). Do remember that Surge is expensive and that the Lancers could be replaced with Segment as well as Blast Compound Swarmers. When you have Surge Alloy Cyclones, they become less of an issue. Construct Poly and Mega to help your wall tank its damage as your Lancers finish it off. The fifth wave is the most dangerous, consisting of Scepter. The fourth wave consists of many Quasar.Lancers should be enough to finish them off given the narrow choke point. The third wave consists of tens of Atrax.Place a layer of Scatter and Cyclone with Metaglass ammo and phase it out for stronger Plastanium or Surge Alloy later on - You will need these Cyclones for the reign. The second wave of the cycle consists of many Flares and a small pack of Zenith.Just make sure you make a few layers of walls to absorb the damage. This wave is not a worry, although Conveyors are no longer a viable counter. The first wave of the cycle consists of 15 Crawlers. The wave progression of Desolate Rift is in cycles of 6, with each wave intensifying in number as each cycle passes. Make sure to also knock out the enemy bases surrounding it as well so that this sector can be fully secured. Make sure you have a passive resource supply in the form of Launch Pad imports, as well as a paranoid defence which contains weapons that can burst down air and ground quickly, in addition to support weapons such as Segment and Wave for more survivability. Unlocking Desolate Rift requires capturing Impact 0078 and researching the Thermal Generator, Thorium Reactor and the Core: Nucleus.ĭesolate Rift is an extremely difficult map, far more difficult than in V5 due to more mandatory waves and being forced to defeat the Reign, one of the deadliest enemies in the game. Enemy waves have long delays but are extremely tough to counter, requiring excellent macromanagement skills. It serves as the penultimate main challenge to players as the hardest mandatory Survival sector. Do not be fooled by the long spacing between enemy attacks.ĭesolate Rift is an Extreme-threat sector.
